Description

Designed with the dual inspirations of plant life and fog, this lost-and-found umbrella piece was meant to cascade down from the ceiling of the exhibition tent and trail around the space. Like vines of clouds stretching down and around, creeping and embracing, fog changes ones perception of place. Similarily, this installation aimed to change the viewers’ experience of being inside an exhibition tent by using the recognizable and vibrant visual of umbrellas to provide the feeling of stepping from the pavement into a place that is other, yet familiar.

*Originally commissioned for Cannes Also, this installation was never completed due to health and safety concerns. See Rain Cloud (Cannes) for images of final installation.
